New Park Signs Are A "Welcome" Addition
Work has been completed installing new park entrance signs in two Wahoo parks.  The signs were partially funded by a LWCF grant and are a significant improvement over the wood placard signs that existed.  The new 3'x5' signs are made from a granite-like material that will withstand extreme temperatures and resist cracking, chipping, and fading.   This fall, two new signs are being placed at Smith Park and one sign at Hackberry Park with the eventual goal of adding/replacing signs at all Wahoo parks over the next several years.  Pictured installing the first sign at Hackberry Park are parks maintenance workers (l-r) Dan Givens, Nick Milliken, and Bob Graves.
