Wahoo's First Trail Now Complete!

Wahoo's first formal trail development project has been completed!  The photos above show the "Lake Wanahoo - Phase 1" project.  This trail segment begins at the south end of Placek Park, weaves through the park, and continues north through Cook's Park.  It currently 'dead-ends' on the north side of Cook's Park with the eventual goal of continuing north and connecting to Lake Wanahoo.  Park patrons and trail users are asked to be careful when using the trail and refrain from stepping or riding on the 'shoulders' of the trail so that the newly seeded grass may have a chance to mature.  The majority of this project is being paid for by a state-level grant program which is funding 80% of the project.  If you have an opportunity, stop by the park and take a leisurely stroll on the new trail.
